Redfern Kangaroo Leather Trifold Wallet

The Redfern Kangaroo Leather Trifold Wallet is designed for every day use. It has a small footprint compared to the larger bifolds and allows you to carry it comfortably in the front pocket. Made from full grain Kangaroo Leather it is extremely tough, and with care will last for many years.

The central cash slot is big enough to handle almost all of the different bank notes issued around the world, including the Euro.

It consists of 4 separate credit card pockets, 2 on each wing of the wallet which can handle 2 cards each, another in the middle that can take another 2 cards and the 4th is hidden in the cash slot and can take a single card.

These trifold wallets are all made by hand and to order so the production time of these is roughly 1-2 weeks.

  • Made with full grain Veg Tan Kangaroo Leather.
  • Four credit card pockets.
  • Large central cash slot.
  • Dimensions of the wallet when closed are 3.75″ / 9.5 cm (L) x 2.85″ / 7.3 cm (W) .
  • Saddle stitched together by hand using a strong waxed thread.
  • Hand burnished edges sealed with bees wax.

    The kangaroo leather that makes this possible is as thin as it is strong. And this wallet comes with sewing to match the leather’s strength. The thread is thick, and there’s no shortage of double stitching here.

    The wallet is also very convenient to use. The aforementioned sewing forms borders around the cards in the wing pockets, giving you an area to grab when you remove a card, which greatly facilitates card removal. The billfold area is also absolutely cavernous. The wallet looks sharp with its burnishing, waxing, and clean lines. Note that you may need to apply leather balm when you first receive it.

    If you ask me, this is the best trifold you can find. Just try to find another trifold with this level of craftsmanship and in this slim a form factor, and all for less than $100.

    This wallet ok except for a few caveats..
    Shipping was fast enough from Australia but with no signature confirm it was left on the front porch of a busy street to be possibly stolen..but I received it fine.
    Unfortunately the wallet had some deep scratches in the exterior leather that marred its appearance significantly against the rest of the smooth surfaces.
    I was surprised at this and wondered how this wallet would actually pass a QC/visual test.. esp considering the cost.
    But scratches do not affect the function of the wallet.
    So the positives are that it is a nice small wallet (if you carry a lot of cash or cards etc..this wont work well for you).
    Also.. very simple stiching and leatherwork is kinda crude..nothing fancy here.
    So rating for Price/QC/Construction..in a score of 1 to 10..I give it a 7.5.
